"Pubs of Tasmania: In Search of the Holy Grail"

The recently published book by Steve Hyde and Howard Smith, launched to an enthusiastic crowd at the Hope and Anchor Tavern. After an admiring and humorous introduction by local personality, John Remess, the gathering did what you do in a pub, drank, albeit in moderation, and thanks to the generosity of our very own, Cascade Brewery, the experience was all the more enjoyable AND hooray, the beer was free!

You can find out more about the book at the authors website at http://www.pubsoftasmania.com.au . Find out how you can join the Pub Lover's Hall of Fame!

The book traces the 307 Pub 'crawl' covering 7500 km and all the tall tales and true which an endeavour like that produced. Told from the perspective of a couple of mates having fun, and the way they've prepared comprehensive info on every pub makes this book a valuable travelling companion.
